Video production built for Albuquerque creators and businesses

Duke City Reel is an Albuquerque video production operation covering corporate video, live event coverage, and music video work, paired with practical video marketing guidance for the small businesses and independent artists who actually have to get their videos seen once they are finished.

Behind Duke City Reel

Duke City Reel grew out of years spent producing video for Albuquerque businesses, event organizers, and independent artists who needed more than a phone camera but did not need, or could not afford, a full commercial production house.

That gap between amateur and enterprise-scale production is where most of our work sits: corporate videos with a real concept behind them, live events covered with enough cameras to actually capture the room, and music videos built around what makes a specific artist's sound distinct rather than dropped into a generic template. We also spend real time on the marketing side, since a well-produced video that nobody ever sees has not actually done its job. That means practical guidance on posting schedules, cross-platform promotion, and building an audience, not just handing over a finished file and moving on to the next project.

The work

  1. Corporate and brand video production

Concept, scripting, filming, and editing for a business video built to actually get watched.

  2. Live event coverage

Multi-camera coverage for conferences, performances, and business events, filmed and delivered fast.

  3. Music video production

Music videos built around the artist's sound and story, not dropped into a generic template.

  4. Video marketing strategy

Guidance on posting, cross-promoting, and actually growing an audience around video content.

  5. Post-production and editing

Editing, color correction, motion graphics, and audio engineering that turns raw footage into a finished video.

The way we work

  1. Production built around a concept and a script before a camera ever gets set up.
  2. Multi-camera coverage for live events, so a single angle never misses the moment that mattered.
  3. Music video work built around an artist's actual sound rather than a generic template.
  4. Video marketing guidance that goes past publishing, into how a video actually finds an audience.

Good to know

Do you only produce music videos, or also business and corporate work?

Both, and the two share more overhead than people expect. The same pre-production, multi-camera, and editing skills apply whether the final product is a brand video or an artist's music video.

How far in advance should a live event be booked?

A few weeks of notice is usually enough for a standard event, though a larger multi-day conference or a complex multi-camera setup benefits from more lead time to plan coverage properly.

What does a typical corporate video project actually involve?

It starts with a concept and a short script or outline, moves into a filming day or two depending on scope, and finishes with an editing pass that includes any graphics, color work, and audio cleanup the piece needs.

Do you help with getting a video seen after it is finished, or just the production itself?

Both. Production is only half the job if nobody sees the finished video, so we also cover practical guidance on posting schedules, cross-promotion, and building an audience around video content over time.

Can you work with an independent artist's limited budget?

Yes, scope is usually the variable that flexes, not quality. A tighter budget generally means a smaller crew and a more efficient shoot day, not a lower quality final product.
